Sanga drinking water system

Agreement between the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and ProNepal signed to finance a deep well and a compensation tank

In January 2018 ProNepal submitted a project to the Office of Cabinet Affairs of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano for the extension of the Sanga drinking water plant (Kavrepalchok district – Nepal).

The project foresees the construction of a 120 m deep boring well and a daily compensation basin of 100 m³. As a result, the existing drinking water system can continue to meet the increasing requirements of population growth and per capita water requirements in the future.

This drinking water system was completely renovated in 2010 and even then was co-financed by ProNepal and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

The Autonomous Province of Bolzano has now agreed to finance 70% of the costs, and the project will be implemented and financed in two financial years. A few weeks ago an initial agreement was concluded between the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the chairman of the ProNepal association.
