Pictures and impressions of the 20th anniversary celebration of ProNepal

We were able to spend a festive day together with around 100 guests in the wonderful ambience of the Fragsburg. We celebrated the 20th anniversary of our association on Sunday 29 September. After being welcomed by Chairman Riccardo Ruffini and the lord of the castle Alexander Ortner, Christine de Mario took us on a journey through the history of our organisation.

• Since its foundation, ProNepal has supported around 600 school years through sponsorships.
• Our water pipeline projects will soon be supplying 700 households and 5,000 people with water.
• Thanks to donations, we were able to provide food, clothing, blankets and corrugated iron roofs as emergency aid for the earthquake victims in 2015.
• During the Covid pandemic, we were able to immediately organise food and medicine and two intensive care beds for a hospital thanks to the support of our members.
• We were able to quickly supply the victims of the 2024 flood disaster with 1,500 kg of rice, 50 solar panels, 3,000 metres of water pipes and 270 corrugated sheets.
• We were able to implement many smaller and larger projects with the help of our partners Jaya and Prachanda in Nepal, who support us with their organisation SEO (society for each other).

Herbert Frei was honoured for his many years of service. The musical duo Ernst Thoma and Martha Rauner played and sang . Asha Lama and her friends performed Nepalese dances. A delicious buffet, prepared by Peter Müller and his wife Monika, rounded off the celebration.

We would like to thank the singers and dancers, the presenter Margot Schwienbacher, all the volunteers, the numerous helpers, the lord of the castle, the visitors and the catering company Karl Telser, who provided the crockery.
