This autumn excursion was dedicated to the memory of our founder and honorary chairwoman, Helene Egger Matscher, who passed away in July 2021.

About twenty members gathered in Tisens to stop at the Buschenschank Hofstätter after a short hike to the Saint Hyppolit church. High above the Etsch Valley with a wonderful view, the Tibetan prayer flags were now blowing in memory of our dear Helene.

We were particularly excited to see the video about Helene Egger Matscher. Margit Köfler artfully compiled it with various pictures, interviews and short videos, supported by the speaker Margot Schwienbacher and received well-deserved applause for it. She succeeded in paying tribute to Helene’s dedication to the association, highlighting her great commitment both for the association ProNepal and for the people of Nepal. Close ones shared their memories of Helene, and association members expressed their appreciation in the presence of Helene’s husband Erwin Matscher, her brother Stefan Egger and her niece Ghali.
