With a donation of 585 € from Ms Ida Tratter it was possible to realise once again a goat project for women in need located in the Katmandu valley.

Ms Reecha Thapa visited the village Konsom on behalf of ProNepal and reviewed the residents’ familiar and economic situation. She gathered six women and bought 12 goats (40-48,75 € per goat) for these women.

Now these women have the task to bring up the goats and then pass the young animals to other women in need.

The goats provide the women and their families with milk and ghee. They join together in a cooperative and help each other. The special element of this project it not only the positive effect on their sustainability, since these families are now able to survive off it, but also to empower independence of these women.
