In collaboration with our partner association Seo we started yet another training project for 20 women in Sanga near Kathmandu. The Knitting project includes a training course in working a knitting machine.

The first edition of this training includes the purchase of the machines that will be used by the 20 women and any other groups in the future.

Further teaching of design and production of knitwear (sweaters, cardigans, scarves, wrist warmers, hats …) will be provided. In addition, measures to improve personal competences of the women will be taken with the goal of enabling them to lead an independent company or to use the acquired skills in the Nepalese job market.

The project extends over a period of 12 months and can subsequently start in a new edition. The costs of the first course amounts to approximately 15,000 €.
