The Sahayogj Samaj Home has a new home. With it, the children’s living conditions have improved considerably. They have more space and good facilities. Besides the kitchen, there is also a dining room and a terrace, and there are 6 twin rooms for the children. The director, Aruna Karmacharya Baidya creates a loving atmosphere for 12 orphans aged 8 – 18, and living together resembles that of a large family. Aruna is supported by two staff members, her sister and her husband.
ProNepal has found godmothers and godfathers for all the children, who make an annual contribution to ensure the children’s school attendance and livelihood. ProNepal and the association Amici Trentini jointly support the new home through a rental contribution.
